What is the ruling on using and merging images with Quranic verses for the purpose of inviting people to Islam, and is it permissible to design verses about punishment?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

It is permissible to write verses on images to explain and clarify their meanings, as long as the verses do not speak of the unseen, and as long as there is no degradation of the Holy Qur’an in doing so, with emphasis that the verse must be consistent with what is being clarified by the images. It is better to disseminate recitations of the Holy Qur’an and translations of its meanings, and to disseminate authenticated religious books and video clips, as they are of greater benefit to people. There is no objection to publishing images of people praying and prostrating.
