Is it Islamically permissible to create humorous images by superimposing people's heads onto other bodies?

Photographic and video imaging are a matter of scholarly disagreement, with the preponderant view being permissibility. However, the opinion of prohibition has considerable merit, and it is advised to avoid it as a way of exiting the disagreement and clearing one's conscience regarding religious matters. Humor is not a necessity or an urgent need that justifies photography, especially in the manner mentioned, which involves falsification, deception, insult, and mockery. It could also lead to religiously forbidden acts, such as image manipulation. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "We are not to be likened to evil."
