Will the deceased be tormented because of his family's weeping over him?

The authentic hadiths from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, state that the deceased is tormented by the weeping of his family over him. The weeping intended here is wailing and raising the voice. Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, denied this, thinking it contradicted the verse: "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." However, scholars have reconciled these. The torment is not a punishment for a sin committed by the deceased; rather, it is the deceased's suffering from the wailing of his family, just as a person suffers from travel, which is not a punishment. This suffering for the believer expiates some of his sins, while for the disbeliever, it increases his torment.
