Is the death of a father considered better for his daughters than his imprisonment and the resulting shame and squandering of their money, in the event that he is accused in a criminal case that could lead to the ruin of his family?
It is not a disgrace for a person to be imprisoned unjustly, for Yusuf (peace be upon him) was imprisoned, and then his innocence was revealed. Strive to defend yourself and show the truth, and do not wish for death. If it is absolutely necessary, then say: "O Allah, keep me alive as long as life is better for me, and cause me to die if death is better for me." And do not wish for death before it comes to you, because a believer's life only increases him in goodness. And supplicate to Allah to grant you victory, for the supplication of the oppressed is answered.
