What is the ruling on selling hoodies, and is it considered imitating non-Muslims?

The criterion for resembling non-Muslims in clothing is that the garment is specific to them, such that anyone who sees it would assume the wearer is one of them, like the Jewish skullcap or the Christian girdle. However, what people generally wear and has become widespread among Muslims, and is not exclusive to non-Muslims, is not considered resemblance, even if its origin was taken from them. This is because the prohibition ceases when its exclusivity to them disappears, as Ibn Hajar stated in "Fath al-Bari." Accordingly, wearing this garment and selling it is permissible.
