How authentic is the widely circulated hadith about the Prophet's (peace be upon him) sandal on the night of Al-Mi'raj, and his dialogue with his Lord concerning his Ummah?

The aforementioned hadith is not authentic from the Prophet, peace be upon him, and it does not exist in the compendiums of Sunnah. The story of removing the sandals is entirely fabricated and forged, and it has not been established in any of the narrations of the Prophet's Mi'raj (ascension).
