Is it permissible to recite in prayer by combining two recitations (riwayat) in the Qira'at of Asim, and how does one respond to those who dislike the Qira'at?

There is no harm for the worshiper in combining two recitations of a single reading, but it is preferable for the reciter to complete the recitation with the reading they started with, to avoid disagreement. Imam Al-Nawawi said: "If one recites with one of the seven readings, it is recommended to complete the recitation with it. However, if one recites some verses with it and some with another of the seven readings, it is permissible, provided that what was recited with the second reading is not grammatically linked to the first." It is permissible to recite a verse or verses from another reading, as long as it does not lead to a linguistic error or deviate the word from all authentic readings. As for responding to those who dislike combining readings, it should be explained to them that these readings are authentically transmitted from the Prophet, peace be upon him. Nevertheless, it is preferable for the Imam to avoid what the worshipers dislike.
