Is my repentance accepted because of my fear of not getting a job, or does it require sincere devotion to Allah?

Sins and acts of disobedience cause deprivation of sustenance, but the intention of the one repenting should not be limited to getting rid of these worldly effects. Rather, it must be preceded by the intention of seeking the countenance of Allah the Almighty, fearing His punishment and hoping for His reward. Among the conditions for sincere repentance is sincerity to Allah in it, that it be pure from impurities and worldly defects, and that it encompass all sins with resolve and truthfulness.
