What is the ruling on taking religious booklets from a hotel without the owner's knowledge?

It is not permissible to take booklets from a hotel without the owner's permission, unless there is explicit authorization to do so. If you have taken them, you must return them or contact the hotel owner to ascertain his position. If you are unable to return them or contact him, then donate their value on his behalf, or place them in a public library or a mosque.
