Is it permissible for a woman who despises her husband because of his appearance, whose heart is attached to another man, and who cannot tolerate her husband’s family, to request a divorce before consummation?

If a woman can live with her husband, fulfill her duties, and does not fear neglecting his rights or falling into what displeases Allah, then there is no need to request divorce (talaq) or annulment (khul'). However, if she fears that due to her hatred for him, then she may request divorce (talaq) or annulment (khul').
