What is the ruling on a mother who abandoned prayer for a period of her life due to the abundance of household chores?

The mother has committed a great sin by abandoning prayer for a long time, and there is no excuse for a Muslim to abandon prayer as long as their intellect is sound. She must make up the missed prayers after her sincere repentance, according to the majority of scholars, while some hold that she is not obliged to make them up and that repentance, seeking forgiveness, and increasing in supererogatory acts are sufficient for her.
