What is the ruling on not completing 'Umrah due to exhaustion during circumambulation (Tawaf), and what is required to be done now?

You and your husband made a mistake by not completing the 'Umrah. What is incumbent upon you now is to refrain from the prohibitions of Ihrām and return to Makkah to complete the 'Umrah. The prohibitions of Ihrām that you committed fall into two categories: those related to luxury (such as using perfume and wearing tailored clothes) carry no penalty if done out of ignorance. As for those related to destruction (such as shaving and cutting nails), for each such prohibition, there is a ransom (fidyah) in the form of fasting, charity, or a sacrifice. A single fidyah is required for a repeated prohibition. The 'Umrah is not invalidated by sexual intercourse if it occurs out of ignorance or forgetfulness, according to some scholars. If you are unable to return to Makkah, either of you, or both, can perform the release of one who is prevented (taḥallul al-muḥṣar) by slaughtering a sheep with the intention of release and shortening the hair. If you performed an 'Umrah after the one you did not complete, then the latter 'Umrah takes the place of the first, because the Ihrām for the subsequent 'Umrah is considered void due to being already in a state of Ihrām from the first.
