What is the ruling on my friends' and family's actions of seeking out my faults and speaking ill of me? And have I sinned by writing on Facebook, "I am not a liar, nor am I flawed, so do not seek out people's faults"? And how can I rectify this situation?

A Muslim is advised to be patient, supplicate, and ask Allah for well-being from all afflictions.

Islam has forbidden prying into the private lives of Muslims and has sternly warned against it. It has commanded Muslims to gently advise those who engage in such acts and guide them to the beauty of Islam by abandoning what does not concern them.

A Muslim should turn away from the ignorant and adorn themselves with the manners taught by the Quran.

They should also avoid situations of suspicion so that ill-will is not harbored against them, and clear their name when necessary.

Marriage should be pursued as much as possible, for it provides protection, chastity, and brings about wealth.
