The answer

If you do not intend to offer a sacrifice (Udhiyah), it is recommended for you to shave your hair and trim your nails before entering into a state of Ihram. However, if you do intend to offer a sacrifice and the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah have commenced, there are two opinions regarding the matter: disliked (Makruh) or not disliked. Some scholars, such as the Shafi'is, prefer the view that it is not disliked if two acts of proximity (Qurbah) converge, one of which is related to the body.
