Is one who clips his nails during the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah, before entering into a state of Ihram with the intention of performing Hajj, sinful?

There is no harm for a pilgrim to trim his nails before entering into a state of ihram; in fact, some scholars even recommend it. What is prohibited is for a person intending to offer a sacrifice (udhiyah) to trim their nails after the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah have begun, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "When the (first) ten days (of Dhul-Hijjah) begin and one has an animal for sacrifice that he intends to offer, he should not remove any hair from his body nor clip his nails."
