Is it obligatory for one intending to perform Hajj to refrain from taking from his hair and nails from the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah, by analogy with one intending to offer a sacrifice?

The apparent meaning of the Hadith is that the prohibition against taking hair, skin, and nails is specific to the one intending to offer a sacrifice (Udhiyah), whether they are a pilgrim (Hajji) or not. If the one intending to offer a sacrifice enters into the state of Ihram during the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah, they should not cut any of their hair or nails except to exit the state of Ihram after performing Umrah. It has also been said that it is not disliked for the Muhrim (one in Ihram) to do so if two acts of worship converge, one of which is related to the body.
