Is it permissible to sell a commodity – such as a watch – at different prices to different people – such as selling it at a certain price to a regular customer, and at a lower price to another customer, and at an even lower price to a friend?

The seller must not deceive people and should seek a suitable price that harms no one. There is no objection to reducing part of the price for some friends, relatives, or those who insist. However, deceiving people by increasing the price for the ignorant and selling it at the usual price to the shrewd is not permissible. Rather, one must sell at a reasonable price to everyone without deception or betrayal. The price should be consistent for everyone, whether they are shrewd or not shrewd, unless one wishes to give a gift or waive a part of the price for some loved ones, friends, or relatives, which is permissible.
