How should a married daughter deal with her father who verbally abuses her and expels her from the house, despite her contributing to her family's expenses? Is her silence or severance of ties with him considered dutifulness (birr)? And does his displeasure with her necessitate her entry into Hellfire?

Advise the questioner to supplicate for her father, asking Allah to rectify his condition, and to seek assistance from those close to him to reconcile their relationship, while also endeavoring to understand the reasons for his dislike and ill-treatment, and to address any shortcomings on her part. She must also strive to honor him and treat him well, avoiding any harm towards him, and discussing and advising him according to the guidelines of Sharia, without violence or harshness. If he does not accept the advice, then reducing visits to him when not necessary is preferable, while avoiding complete severance. If his displeasure with her is without any fault on her part, then she bears no sin.
