What is the ruling on computer games?

Islam has permitted recreation and entertainment, subject to শরعي (Sharia-compliant) regulations. These include that they should not distract from the remembrance of Allah or prayer, nor should they be accompanied by gambling or music, and they must have a recognized benefit. If the aforementioned games develop skills, quick responsiveness, and good conduct, then there is no harm in them, provided they are free from Sharia prohibitions.
