How is it that the crossing of the bridge of grievances (qantarat al-madhalim) occurs after crossing the Sirat, when some say that grievances are settled before the Mizan (scale), which is before the Sirat?

Retribution on the Day of Judgment is of two types: general, for all creation before crossing the Sirat (Bridge), and specific, for believers only after they have crossed the Sirat and before entering Paradise, in order to purify them from malice and hatred, or for those who have minor liabilities that do not necessitate entry into Hellfire. They will settle accounts through good deeds and sins. So, whoever reaches the Qantara (Bridge) of grievances has been saved from Hellfire, but he will not enter Paradise before this specific retribution.
