Who said: "Victory is but an hour's patience," and on what occasion?

The phrase "Courage is patience for an hour" (الشجاعة صبر ساعة) is narrated in the books of the people of knowledge, and many have attributed it to Imam Al-Battal, among them Al-Hafiz Al-Dhahabi, Ibn Asakir, and Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali. Al-Dhahabi mentioned that Al-Battal is Abu Muhammad Abdullah, describing him as the chief of the courageous and heroes, and one of the princes of the people of Sham who instilled fear and humiliation in the Romans. He was killed in the year 112 AH.
