Do women at the Maliki school of thought observe istizhar if yellowness and a reddish-brown discharge appear after six days of bleeding, without seeing the white discharge, knowing that the madhhab holds the view of istizhar if the bleeding exceeds the duration of the customary period?

The yellowish and brownish discharges are considered menses by the Malikis, according to the well-known opinion, whether a woman sees them during her menstrual period or outside of it. Accordingly, the ruling of istizhar (waiting period) includes the yellowish and brownish discharges. So, if the blood, yellowish, or brownish discharge exceeds the usual period, the woman observes istizhar for three days.
