What is the meaning of the Hadith: "No servant has ever opened the door of asking for himself..."?

Whoever asks people and begs them for money or needs, Allah will increase his neediness and poverty. This is what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified in the hadith: "No servant opens a door of begging but Allah opens for him a door of poverty." And the more a person resorts to begging from people, the more Allah increases him in poverty and need, and He may strip him of blessings, or remove the barakah from his provision, and increase the poverty in his heart.
