What is the ruling on being absent from work or not going to it sometimes, knowing that the work is not affected by that, and there is injustice in salary and benefits, and there are tasks that involve doubt, and meetings that include indecent language? And is it permissible to leave work to seek Sharia knowledge?

An employment contract is binding and must be fulfilled. Quitting work under the pretext of an unfair salary or to seek religious knowledge is not permissible, as it constitutes a failure to honor one's commitment, and because attending work is a religious obligation. Seeking knowledge can be done outside official working hours. Scholars have stipulated that a private employee should not perform supererogatory prayers during working hours, nor should he leave for congregational prayer unless there is a condition or permission from the employer. How then could he leave to seek knowledge?
