Is it better to work overtime to secure the future of one's children and increase income, or to be content with one job and dedicate the rest of the time to worship, knowing that the current income is sufficient for the household's needs?

Balance and moderation, and giving everyone their due right, are among the guidance of prophethood. Overtime work that preoccupies a person and causes some rights to override others should not be pursued as long as there is no need for it. Saving money for one's family and enriching them is permissible if it does not harm the Muslim or cause them to neglect some rights, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is better for you to leave your heirs wealthy than to leave them dependent, begging from people."
