If a wife is unable to make up for fasts due to fear for her fetus, there is no blame upon her for delaying the making up until after the next Ramadan. She should fast when she is able, without paying any expiation (fidyah). However, if she is able to fast and does not fear harm, then she must fast, and it is not permissible for her to break her fast. If she delays making up the fasts without a valid excuse, then she must feed one poor person for each day.
