Is it permissible to recite the morning and evening adhkar (remembrances) while in prostration, and is the recitation of Ayat al-Kursi and the last verses of Surah al-Baqarah during the Sunnah (recommended prayers) sufficient as a substitute for reciting them after Maghrib or Fajr?

There is no harm for the worshipper in reciting whatever he wishes after Al-Fatiha, and supplicating in prostration with whatever he wishes; based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Then recite the Mother of the Quran [Al-Fatiha] and whatever Allah wills you to recite," and his saying: "As for prostration, strive in supplication therein, for it is worthy of being answered." It is better for the Muslim to adhere to what is established in the Prophetic guidance, in compliance with the hadith: "Pray as you have seen me praying." Ayatul-Kursi is recommended after the prescribed prayers, due to the hadith: "Whoever recites Ayatul-Kursi after every prescribed prayer, nothing will prevent him from entering Paradise except death." As for the two verses from the end of Al-Baqarah, their recommendation after Maghrib and Fajr has not been established. Rather, their encouragement is established for recitation at night, due to the hadith: "Whoever recites the two verses from the end of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him."
