Is it permissible to give a camel as zakat for camels if the نصاب (minimum amount on which zakat is due) reaches five, instead of a sheep?

The obligatory zakat on five camels is one sheep, and the number of sheep increases with the number of camels. For ten camels, it is two sheep; for fifteen, three sheep; and for twenty, four sheep. The correct view is that it is permissible to give a camel instead of a sheep for zakat on camels numbering less than twenty-five, because the Law obligated sheep to lighten the burden on the owner. So, if the owner chooses to pay the better option, it is permissible, as the original principle is that zakat should be paid from the same type of asset.
