Is it permissible to sell "planetary bracelets" upon which is written, "You will hold the entire world in your hand," for the purpose of adornment, and are the profits previously earned from them permissible?
It is not permissible for a man to wear bracelets at all, whether they are made of leather or metal, because they are women's adornments, and imitating women is forbidden. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed men who imitate women. Similarly, it is not permissible to sell bracelets to men.
As for selling bracelets to women, it is permissible under two conditions: 1. That they are not sold to someone for whom it is highly probable that she will display herself immodestly with them and expose her wrist to non- men. 2. That the matter is free from any corrupt belief, such as promoting that the bracelet brings luck or happiness, or that it has an influence on the planets. Unless it promotes a corrupt belief, there is no harm in calling them "planet bracelets" or making them into models with planets on them.
