What is the ruling on money earned from working in a restaurant in Germany, if the student sometimes received his wages without actual work, then the owner of the restaurant committed suicide, and is it necessary to consult the family of the employer regarding this matter?

The worker must adhere to the agreed-upon contract with the employer regarding the start and end times of work, based on the Almighty's saying: (O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts), and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Muslims are bound by their stipulations." The worker is entitled to their wage if they adhere to the specified time and make themselves available for work. If there is a reduction in work time or performance with the employer's permission, there is no harm in that. However, if the reduction is without the employer's permission, the worker is only entitled to wages commensurate with the work performed, and must return any excess wages to the heirs of the business owner.
