Does God get angry with a servant and forbid him from repentance? And does the warning of “the one whom God gave the verses, but he slipped away from them” apply to someone who possesses knowledge and whom God guides, but he follows his desires?

We seek refuge in Allah from His wrath and punishment, for He does what He wills. He may become angry with a servant and lead him astray due to his sins, thus not enabling him to repent, as affirmed by His (the Most High) saying: {Indeed, Allah does not guide those whom He sends astray}. This includes those for whom wretchedness has been predetermined in Allah's knowledge. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us that some people incur Allah's wrath, and He never grants them repentance. As mentioned in the hadith of Al-A'maq and Dabiq, one-third of the defeated "Allah will never grant them repentance," meaning Allah will not inspire them to repent. This necessitates their failure to achieve repentance, which in turn demands extreme caution against sins and disobedience, and staying away from what displeases Allah. As for him to whom Allah gave His signs, but he slipped away from them, this applies to everyone who abandoned the knowledge Allah taught him, clung to the earth, and followed desires. His state is like that of the one whose story Allah recounted in the Quran.
