The answer

There is no religious impediment to naming a child Yamaan, as "Al-Yamaan," the father of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yamaan, was one of the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. This name is attributed to the land of Yemen and has other meanings such as blessing and abundance of goodness. It is permissible to name children with any name that does not involve polytheism (shirk), servitude to other than Allah, self-praise, ugliness, effeminacy, or imitation of disbelievers.
