Is it obligatory to restart the ablution from the beginning if a wind (flatulence) is released during the ablution, such as when washing the face?

The emission of wind during ablution necessitates its repetition. If wind is emitted before washing the face, there is no obligation to repeat washing the hands, rinsing the mouth, and sniffing water into the nose, because these are supererogatory acts (sunnah); however, it is recommended to repeat them so that the reward may be complete. But if wind is emitted after washing the face, then it is obligatory to repeat washing it, as it is one of the pillars of ablution.
