Are the sweets of the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi) that are in the shape of dolls and horses considered idols?

It is not permissible to make sweets in the shape of a human or an animal for any occasion. This is due to the general legal proofs that prohibit the making of statues, such as the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Indeed, the makers of these images will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: 'Give life to what you have created.'" And his saying: "The most severely punished people on the Day of Resurrection will be the image-makers." And "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a statue." Furthermore, celebrating the Prophet's birthday (Mawlid) is a newly invented innovation (bid'ah), and the Prophet (peace be upon him) warned against innovations by saying: "For every innovation is a misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Hellfire." Some scholars are of the opinion that the word "idol" (sanam) is applied to a statue if it is in the form of an image, and an idol is that which has an image made into a statue, while a "وثن" (wathan) is that which has no image. It is well-known that the word "sanam" is applied to that which is worshipped besides Allah Almighty.
