The answer

It is permissible for spouses to engage in intercourse during the nights of Ramadan without restriction. It is also permissible to ejaculate outside the vagina with the consent of both spouses, which is known as 'azl (coitus interruptus). The Companions practiced this during the time of the Prophet while the Qur'an was being revealed. A person in a state of ritual impurity (junub) must perform ghusl (ritual bath) to pray Fajr before its time expires. If one becomes junub at dawn, it does not harm their fast. The Prophet himself would sometimes wake up in a state of janabah and fast. However, it is not permissible to delay ghusl until after the time for Fajr prayer has passed.
