Is the 'aqiqah performed on Wednesday, a week after the birth of the newborn on Thursday after Maghrib prayer, valid or not, and what should I do if it is not valid?

The Aqiqah is valid if the animal is slaughtered after birth, whether before the seventh day or after it. However, it is preferable to slaughter it on the seventh day due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Every child is mortgaged by his Aqiqah; it is slaughtered for him on his seventh day, and he is named on it, and his head is shaved." As for calculating the day of birth, the preponderant opinion is that it is counted. Thus, the slaughter would occur on the sixth day following it. If the birth occurs at night, the day following that night is counted.
