How is the seventh day calculated for the 'Aqiqah slaughter? Would it be on Thursday or Friday if the newborn was born on Friday after Asr prayer and before Maghrib prayer?

The day of the newborn's birth is counted as one of the seven days according to the majority of scholars, while the Malikis hold that it is not counted. If the birth was on a Friday, the 'aqiqah would be on the following Thursday according to the majority, and on Friday according to the Malikis. The 'aqiqah is valid if slaughtered at any time after birth, whether before the seventh day or after it, although it is preferable to slaughter it on the seventh day.
