What is the story of the Samaritan who tempted the people of Moses?

The Samiri was a man from the people of Moses or from others. His name was Musa ibn Zafar or Mikha. Allah mentioned his story in Surah Taha. Moses asked him: (What then is your case, O Samiri?) meaning, what is your affair? He replied: (He said: "I saw what they saw not, so I seized a handful (of dust) from the print of the Messenger and threw it, and thus did my soul entice me.") This means he saw Jibreel on a horse, so he took a handful of dust from the horse's tracks and placed it in the calf fashioned from ornaments, and his soul made this seem appealing to him. Moses punished him by saying: (Go! And verily, it is for you in this life to say: "Touch me not"). This means he would not touch anyone, nor would anyone touch him. He was banished from society, and he has an appointment with torment on the Day of Resurrection. Then Moses burned the calf and scattered it into the sea. These details are from the accounts of the People of the Book, which are permissible to relate as long as they do not contradict the Qur'an, the Sunnah, or reason.
