Is delaying marriage a punishment, and if not, then why are the marriages of the sons and daughters of Sheikhs and religious scholars not delayed?

Delayed marriage does not necessarily mean it is a punishment for the servant; rather, it might be good for them. Even if it were true that the children of preachers and scholars do not experience delayed marriage, that would not be proof that delayed marriage is necessarily a punishment.
