What is the ruling on praying Maghrib behind Asr for someone who, out of ignorance, prayed Maghrib before Asr, and must he repeat both prayers?

Arranging between missed prayers (Fawā’it) and the present prayer (Ḥāḍirah) is obligatory if one remembers. If the missed prayers are few (four prayers or less), they should be offered first. However, if they are more, the present prayer should be offered first. The prayer of the child is valid in case of his forgetfulness or ignorance of the ruling because arrangement is not a condition for the validity of the prayer. It is recommended to repeat the Maghrib prayer as long as its time is still available. The Shāfi‘īs are of the opinion that arrangement is only recommended. The proof for this is the ḥadīth narrated by Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed ʿAṣr after sunset and then prayed Maghrib.
