Does the interpretation of a dream come true even if it was incorrect? And can that change what is written (destiny)?

A vision is like a bird, unless it is interpreted, and once interpreted, it comes to pass. This hadith does not include those who are not skilled in interpreting visions and make mistakes in doing so. The intention is that a vision hovers in the air until it is interpreted, and the one interpreting it is meant to be knowledgeable, accurate, and guided [by Allah]. For an ignorant, mistaken person cannot be an interpreter. A vision becomes true if the interpreter is accurate, and it is the kind that an angel brings from the preserved tablet (Umm al-Kitab). The knowledgeable interpreter, who is well-versed in principles and guided towards what is correct, interprets it by analogy, and then it comes to pass as interpreted. Al-Bukhari indicated that this is specific to cases where the interpreter is accurate in their interpretation.

The dreamer should not recount their vision except to a loved one or a compassionate, wise person. It is not permissible for someone who lacks experience in interpretation to interpret it.
