Is it permissible to seek divorce due to harm caused by the husband and his family, when this harm extends to slandering one's honor and reputation, despite the wife's attempts to reconcile and endure them?

If a husband mistreats his wife and severely beats her without just cause, the wife has the right to present the matter to the judge and request a divorce due to harm. The husband does not have the right to force his wife to live with any of his family members, especially if they mistreat her. There is no harm in a woman seeking divorce for a valid reason; rather, she is forbidden from doing so without a valid reason, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Any woman who asks her husband for divorce without a sound reason, the scent of Paradise will be forbidden to her." Nevertheless, divorce is disliked in Islamic law and should not be resorted to except when all means of reconciliation have failed. The priority is reconciliation and living together amicably.
