Is it forbidden for a young man to call a young woman he intends to marry, with the knowledge and approval of their families, and while both adhere to good manners and religious commitment?

If a man loves a woman, he must keep himself pure from what is unlawful and hasten to marry her if it is feasible, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is nothing like marriage for two who love each other." If marriage is not feasible, then the relationship must be severed to prevent Satan from leading them into what is unlawful. For communication between non-mahram men and women without necessity is impermissible and opens doors to the zina of the tongue, ear, and other forms, and he must seek safety for his religion and honor.
