Is there a sin in combining the Asr and Maghrib prayers due to the nature of work that leads to deep sleep and the inability to wake up to perform them at their prescribed times, and what is the solution to this problem?

A Muslim must observe prayer at its legally prescribed time, as Allah Almighty says: "Guard strictly the (five obligatory) prayers, especially the middle prayer (Asr) and stand before Allah with obedience and submissiveness," and His saying: "Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a time-bound ordinance." Allah has warned those who are negligent in delaying prayer, saying: "So woe to those who pray, those who are heedless of their prayer."

One must be careful not to be negligent in prayer and strive to perform it on time. If sleep overtakes someone after the prayer time has begun and before they have prayed, they are not permitted to sleep until they have prayed. If someone sleeps before the prayer time begins, they must take measures to wake up, such as setting an alarm. If they take the necessary measures but do not wake up, there is no sin upon them, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The pen has been lifted from three: from the sleeper until he awakens." When they wake up, they must pray immediately, as he said: "Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps through it, its expiation is to pray it when he remembers it." Frequent sleeping through prayers indicates negligence.
