What is meant by not hastening the answer when supplicating, and does that contradict asking for an expedited fulfillment of a need, such as asking for a righteous husband soon?

The blameworthy haste in supplication is becoming bored and abandoning supplication because the desired outcome is not achieved quickly. The response to supplication varies: granting the very thing requested, averting an equivalent harm, or reserving it for the afterlife. The believer should not cease supplicating, for it is an act of worship, and should submit to Allah’s wisdom and planning. Among the etiquettes of supplication are: seeking out times of responsiveness, performing acts of obedience beforehand, sincerity, praising Allah, sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), supplicating with the Greatest Name of Allah, and upholding righteousness, chastity, and piety. It is permissible for a woman to offer herself to a righteous man through her mahram.
