Is immediate responsiveness to supplication an indication that God does not love His servant, or are there exceptions to the sacred Hadith which indicates delaying the response for the beloved and hastening it for the one not beloved?

First: The Shari'ah encourages frequent supplication and prohibits hastiness in it, because supplication is a great act of worship. There are warnings against abandoning it because it indicates arrogance. Allah the Almighty says: "And your Lord said, 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you.' Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible." The servant's supplication is answered as long as he does not hasten it. "No Muslim supplicates with a supplication in which there is no sin or cutting off of kinship ties, but Allah will grant him one of three things: either He will hasten his supplication for him, or He will store it for him in the Hereafter, or He will avert from him an evil equal to it."

Second: The Hadith mentioned in the question: "Indeed, a servant calls upon Allah and He loves him, so Allah Almighty says: 'O Gabriel, fulfill this servant's need and delay it, for I love to hear his voice.' And indeed, a servant calls upon Allah and He dislikes him, so Allah Almighty says: 'O Gabriel, fulfill this servant's need and hasten it, for I hate to hear his voice,'" is very weak and not suitable for use as evidence.

Third: Allah's response to the servant is a great blessing that necessitates gratitude, praise, adherence to righteous deeds, and taqwa (piety) towards Allah. It is proof of the servant's righteousness, truthfulness, and sincerity. Therefore, one must persevere in these to preserve the blessings.

Fourth: Spreading good and inviting to Allah is a righteous deed that benefits its doer in this world and the Hereafter.
