Does the maternal half-brother inherit from the estate of his deceased brother, who was blessed by Allah with three daughters?

A maternal brother does not inherit if there is a father or a grandfather, or a lineal descendant of the deceased such as a son, a daughter, a grandson, or a granddaughter. So, if your maternal brother passes away and has a daughter or daughters, you do not inherit from him due to the presence of a lineal descendant.
