Is the use of hair ties made from synthetic hair to attach hair considered the prohibited hair extension?

There is no difference between natural and artificial hair in the prohibition of hair extensions (wasl). However, tying hair with artificial hair is not considered wasl. Tying it with a silk thread or similar is also excluded from wasl, as it is not a true extension. From this, it is understood that whenever that silk or similar material is distinguishable from the hair on the head, meaning it is not connected to it, then it is not considered wasl and there is no prohibition. But if it is connected to it, then it is considered wasl.
