Is it permissible to dedicate oneself for a certain period (e.g., a year) to seek knowledge of Arabic calligraphy and learn its writing, knowing that the student is married and has a child?

Learning calligraphy is desirable in Islamic law and holds great importance. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ransomed the prisoners of Badr by having them teach calligraphy, which indicates its immense value. Allah Almighty alluded to the importance of the pen and knowledge in the Holy Qur'an in His saying: "Recite, and your Lord is the Most Generous, Who taught by the pen," and He swore by it in His saying: "Nun. By the pen and what they inscribe." Therefore, there is no impediment in Islamic law to dedicating time to learning Arabic calligraphy, as long as it does not lead to neglecting an obligation or committing a forbidden act.
