Is a person rewarded for learning Arabic calligraphy, and what is the intention required for this knowledge?

Learning Arabic calligraphy is an act of worship for which one is rewarded if it is used to write about the Islamic sciences and benefit people, for the pen is a blessing that Allah swore by in the Holy Quran. Learning calligraphy is a means to virtues. So, whoever learns calligraphy to read and write the Quran and beneficial books of knowledge with it, or to benefit people with it, that is a grace and perfection for them. As for whoever uses it in a way that harms people, that is a harm and a deficiency. Therefore, it is incumbent upon anyone who learns Arabic calligraphy to intend to use it for beneficial purposes, such as writing about beneficial knowledge and benefiting others.
